Hi there. My name’s Harry Walters.

I love reading song lyrics. I feel like it helps me connect far more deeply with the music.

I’ve noticed that many artists put so much care into their music, yet the way that their lyrics are presented doesn’t always reflect what they had in mind.

I think that the experience of reading lyrics should reflect the care that goes into the music. And I also think that music made by people deserves lyrics timed and prepared by people, too. So, that’s why they call me Harry the Scribe.

I offer hand-timed lyrics that follow the vocals, syllable by syllable. The lyrics I prepare work with as many streaming services as possible and can use all the lyric features that each service supports.

I’m talking about how we present duets, show backing vocals, how you handle the vocal fills or your runs, or having different but concurrent vocal lines in a song, you get the idea, right?

Now, I know that there are loads of different (but valid) ways of presenting the same lyrics. I include free revisions so that we can make sure that the presentation stays true to the vision behind the music.

For indie artists, or labels with three or fewer artists, it’s three US dollars and fifty cents a song. That includes the hand timing, the formatting, and of course the free revisions. The standard rate is seven US dollars a song.

I typically work with an audio file of the song and a copy of the written lyrics.
